Synopsis

Captain Jeff Stanton harbors deep hatred for Apaches after they killed his father, but when he's assigned to return Chief Victorio's band to their reservation, he faces a moral crossroads. After capturing the chief's son Red Hawk as a bargaining chip, Stanton negotiates an uneasy truce and finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Dawn, a beautiful half-Apache missionary who challenges his prejudices. But when greedy gold miners and corrupt townspeople murder the Indian agent and blame the Apaches, Stanton must choose between military orders and his conscience. In 1879 Arizona Territory, the line between duty and justice becomes as treacherous as the desert itself, and one man's transformation could mean the difference between peace and massacre.
