Synopsis

In 15th century Italy, Marcelino, a lonely orphan raised by compassionate monks, ventures into the forbidden monastery attic where he discovers a magnificent crucifix. When he offers bread and wine to the statue out of kindness, it miraculously comes to life, and Christ himself descends to become the boy's closest friend and spiritual guide. As their extraordinary friendship deepens, Marcelino faces a choice between the earthly love of his adoptive fathers and his growing desire to be reunited with his mother—a wish that will lead to the most beautiful miracle of all in this touching tale of faith, innocence, and divine love.
