Synopsis
After stabbing an artist to death in self-defense during an attempted rape, Alice White tries to cover her tracks, only to discover her detective boyfriend Frank has been assigned to the case. When a criminal witness threatens to expose Alice's secret, Frank and Alice face an impossible moral dilemma: let an innocent man take the blame, or confess to a killing that was justified but impossible to prove in Alfred Hitchcock's groundbreaking first sound thriller.
