Synopsis

A mysterious drifter walks into a police station and confesses to murder, refusing to reveal his true identity to protect his family from shame. As he awaits execution on death row, a newspaper photograph reaches a heartbroken mother a thousand miles away who becomes convinced the condemned man is her long-lost son.
