Synopsis
When bored socialite Joan Fry ventures into San Francisco's Chinatown seeking excitement, she becomes caught in the violent crossfire of a brutal gang war and falls for Chuck Riley, the ruthless white leader of a powerful tong. As their dangerous romance drags her into the criminal underworld, Chuck's love for Joan forces him to choose between his violent empire and her salvation, while rival gang leader "Boston" Charley plots to destroy them both in this gritty pre-Code crime drama from legendary director William A.
