Synopsis
In first-century Judea, Joel, the son of a strict Pharisee and secret leader of zealot rebels, encounters the transformative teachings of Jesus and must choose between his violent quest for Jewish independence and the revolutionary message of love and forgiveness. Torn between loyalty to his father's rigid traditions and his growing faith in Christ's compassionate gospel, Joel discovers that the greatest commandment isn't found in ancient scrolls but in the courage to love thy neighbor.
