Synopsis
Frankie Machine, a recovering heroin addict and talented card dealer, returns to Chicago's gritty underworld after serving time in federal prison. Armed only with his newfound drumming skills and a desperate hope for redemption, he struggles to stay clean while his manipulative wife, relentless drug dealer, and former criminal associates conspire to drag him back into the dark world of addiction and illegal gambling that nearly destroyed him.
